UNDERSTAND THE FINISH

What is white
frosted window film?

A translucent white finish applied to existing glass, giving it a frosted appearance.

White frost scatters light rather than providing a clear view through the pane. It creates visual separation between spaces while keeping the glass light-transmitting. This makes it useful where an open view is less important than privacy.

It is an applied film, not glass etching or replacement glass. The finish stays frosted throughout the day; it does not turn clear at night or switch between clear and opaque.

You gain privacy on the covered area and give up the clear view through it. If you want to preserve a view, consider partial coverage or a different film.

LIGHT AND PRIVACY

What to expect
from white frost

01

Privacy during the day and night

The frosted finish obscures detail regardless of which side is brighter. Strong backlighting and people close to the glass can still create silhouettes, so it should not be treated as a guarantee of complete concealment.

02

Soft light through the glass

Daylight passes through as diffused light. The exact brightness depends on the product and your windows. White frost reduces some light but does not create the dark finish of blackout film.

03

A simple, consistent appearance

A uniform white finish suits both home interiors and office glass. We help position the film around the sightlines you want to screen, with full panes or selected sections covered.

CHOOSE YOUR COVERAGE

Full glass.
Half height.
A privacy band.

Full coverage screens the view across the whole pane and is often considered for sidelights, bathroom windows, and exposed windows beside a walkway.

Partial coverage leaves a clear section for light and views while screening a specific area.

Horizontal bands can create separation at seated or standing eye level on office partitions. Clear areas remain see-through, so the height and position matter.

COMMON APPLICATIONS

Where frosted film
can make a difference

Laneway and street-facing windows

When people can walk close to the glass, white frost can help screen indoor details without relying on a reflective exterior. Coverage should account for viewing angles from the alley, sidewalk, or neighbouring property.

Bathroom windows and entrance sidelights

Allow daylight into spaces where you want fewer direct views inside. We assess the glazing and intended privacy level, particularly where someone may stand close to the pane.

Offices, meeting rooms, and reception areas

Separate work areas visually while maintaining a bright interior. Film can obscure sightlines, but it does not provide sound privacy or change the acoustic performance of the partition.
